About

M. J. Pfiffner is an accomplished artist, educator, and author based in Iowa, with more than two decades of experience guiding a diverse array of students. This background has profoundly influenced his methods for fostering creativity and instruction. An avid explorer of new destinations, caretaker of exotic pets, and enthusiast of adventure, he infuses his writing with a dynamic and imaginative energy. As he aptly states, “Your only limitation is your imagination.”

Pfiffner’s path to authorship began with concepts that originated in the late 1990s. It was not until December 2009, amid a series of snow days, that he committed to writing his debut novel. What started as an uncertain endeavor quickly gained momentum; within three months, the rough draft of Book 1, Tearing of the Veil, was complete. This drive propelled him to finish Books 2 and 3, and to begin Book 4, which currently includes four chapters and a comprehensive outline. His artwork and illustrations have long been intertwined with this narrative and its characters. Book 2 is now available for purchase, while Book 3 is undergoing final edits. Pfiffner has also completed the cover and chapter illustrations for Book 2.

A key motivation for Pfiffner’s work is to engage young readers, particularly those who profess a dislike for reading. Through the relatable protagonist Al Mathews, he crafted a heartfelt story designed to ignite imagination, sustain interest, and foster a lasting appreciation for literature. This dedication to inspirational storytelling defines his debut series.
